Probably nothing in the archives because A: They rarely go bad on these cars, and 2: Replacement is soooo straightforward and uneventful that it deserves little more mention than emptying the ash tray....
It's pretty much bolt-off, bolt-on. Once the castle nut is removed from the drag link end, you COULD use an idler arm removal tool (like $20 from AutoZone's Loan-A-Tool program. You get the $20 back when you return the tool) to pop the stud out, but, me, I'd just whack it until it gave up.
Google "idler arm remove Chevy truck" and you'll find youtube, advice, etc., that'll pretty much tell you all you need to know.
