[diesel_mercedes] Re: Interesting Finish Restoration on old original paint

Chip and all,
I purchased all the ingredients last night (at Lowes). My plan is to try it on the hoods of my school busses. I have one bus (#6) that was in a small accident (no students aboard) and after repairing the hood we repainted the hood. Now, we did not repaint the whole bus, just the hood, but as you look at busses in the parking lot #6 looks better than the rest.
In a couple of weeks we are going to try the process on the other busses. It will be a couple of weeks before I report back but I will let the group know how it works.
My thought is that it should spruce up a MB without the cost and hassle of a full repaint.
It's funny, on the Lowes site, they have reviews of the Zep High Traffic floor finish and all the reviews, except one, the reviewers talk about using it on their RV's.
A diesel is just a small RV anyhow (wink, wink!)
Cheers,
Bill
