Yeah: They're pretty much all gone now....

Remember when W108s were still pretty common at the P-A-Ps?  At that time (late '80s, early '90s), W116 and 123s were just hitting the yards, and you couldn't touch a used 126 for less than $5-grand.

Yesterday I went to the Ontario and the Pomona PAP's in search of a w123 passenger door handle so I can just switch my lock. There were over 25 w126's (almost all gassers) and other assorted MB beasts, but not a w123 in the bunch. Today I will swing by the Monrovia / El Monte PAP.

Those old w123 diesels just don't end up in the junk yards as frequently as the w126 gassers - must be a story there somewhere.
