Only use one drain plug crush washer , I use the copper ones .
The filter cover pipe uses one 6 MM & one 7 MM O-Ring , they're special as Diesel Fuel contaminated oil attacks regular O-Rings quickly & wil cause loss of oil pressure .
Get them from your Mercedes Dealer , he'll have a microfiche reader with pictures that'll show them in the oil filter assy , or , just have Tom @ The Mercedes Classic Center in Irvine , Ca. order you up a set of four , save two in the ash tray (you don't smoke , right ?) and change them every few years....
Now , whilst the engine is out , is the time to replace the turbo oil return pipe O-Rings , there's a whole bunch of O-Rings hear & there on the engine and NOW is the time ! .
You'll need to drop the sump and tap the pipe out from below , get the rubber boot seal from the Dealer too...
