[diesel_mercedes] 300 TD water in the left rear light housing.

 

I noticed when my wife took off the other night that the left rear marker was dim.  Also the left turn signal was intermittent.  so I take out the spare tire and two nuts and out it comes with a gush of water.  The weep hole in the marker was good but enough gunk had built up to make a good seal and the light canister was full of water.  Now I think I should take it all apart and spray wd 40 in there.  Anything to stop corrosion.  HOw do you take out the light fixtures.  I see the clips but I'm afraid to move them and break them.  Lawrence Rhodes......
