Squeal is not necessarily bad. Some pads squeal more than others because of the way they are made (soft vs hard, length of life). As they wear, some squealing will stop too.

How did you fix the brake squeal? My pads are about 3 months old, plenty of wear left, and the left ones squeals, getting worse. SOme pads supposedly squeal. Is there a fix, short of replacing them?
