Probably too late for this time, BUT, one thing you should know is that the gap tends to get SMALLER with time/miles. This is true for these engines and other Mercedes SOHC engines. So, better .001" too loose than too tight.
I always set mine a little on the sloppy side. And inevitably, when it comes time to do this tune-up, there are some 3 - 6 valves that have tightened up beyond the specifications.

The valves are all adjusted.
I have to replace a fuel return hose before starting the car. One was too short to allow the valve cover off and it ripped.
