Doug, No new timing chain. It is one of the items on my mind when I think of what preventative maintenance (pm) I should do. But since I was underemployed (govt speak for not working) for the last year, I was only doing the necessary work. My last 300sd went to 265,000 before I sold it. It had the original timing chain. I paid 3.84 at Kroger (.10 per gallon discount) last night. running at 26.5 mpg, I had one commute where I went 10-15 mph for 15 miles, instead of 65-75. Blame that on the Rangers ball game. Filling up every 2.5 days.
