The first time I came into Zion from the east (in my new 1968 VW through the tunnel), I was awestruck, thunderstruck, and just amazed at that canyon and valley floor. Then on to Bryce, Yosemite, and the Pacific Ocean - an amazing road trip considering I had already done the Colorado River and Grand Canyon on the same trip. The VW was worth the buy ($1650) just for that trip alone.
