[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy

 

No bout adout it , the W-126 chassis slips through the air easily wheras the (vastly superior) W-123 chassis is a basic brick with wheels .

Tom's W-126 that is *always* fully loaded including _TWO_ kitchen sinks , gets 32 ~ 36 MPG's all the time , all my 5 cylinder Diesels get 23 ~ 25 MPGs , NA as well as turbo charged ones .

Only my 240D gets good fuel mileage , 28 ~ 34 MPG's .

An SEL , the fuel economy isn't great but it also matter what year / engine you get ~
