Can you see any "water tracks" anywhere on the wall, window, wall above
window, etc??
- Check the window "drain" holes outside.
- Check your roof sealant outside.
I had a similar problem just a week ago, but my carpet didn't get wet. Stuff
lying on the drive side window sill was soaked and the cup holder in the
sidewall was half filled with water. It had to happen again while I was
there for me to realize that the water was coming down the wall ABOVE the
window and dripping on everything. When I inspected the roof sealant outside
I found the sealant between the front cap and roof was bad immediately above
the leak area. I don't know how a Newmar differs from a Winnebago I that
area, but certainly worth checking!!
A few panels in my Winnebago are attached with very strong velcro. Others
have cleverly hidden screws. Perhaps a Dutch Star owner can help you there.

Subject: [Diesel-RVs] Wet carpet - drivers floor when rains
I seem to have a leak and water is soaking the carpet/floor on the wall to
the drivers left. I have checked the window seals and before we went on
vacation everything was dry. We put the rv in storage while we were on a
cruise. Now I just checked the other day and the carpet is soaked again. Can
anyone tell me how to get the wall panels off, since the "door panel" has
all the switches in it?? We have a 2002 DSDP, no driver's side door.
Please send any help!!
TIA
Rose
