Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the decrease in load capacity
as speeds increase. I'm not trying to achieve anything but satisfy my
own curiosity. This is the kind of new info I was hoping to hear. I
started down this route after I installed CrossFires on my duals and
PressurePro's on all tires. The CrossFires are interesting in that
this is an example of bleeding air from the hot tire to the cold
tire, dynamically. The PressurePros give a good feel as to how
pressures increase with tire temperatures. Then there's the new
singles that over-the-road trucker are using many of which run a
dynamic tire pressure monitor/inflation system. I'm aware of the tire
manufacturers specing cold pressures, and the tire's ability to
handle pressure changes when hot. The hot pressure seems more like a
tire manufacturing constraint than a feature. in an ideal situation,
where pressures could be monitored and adjusted on the fly, would the
tire manufacturer prefer a constant internal psi? The list concensus
at this point is: no. Any tire engineers out there care to comment?
