[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '82 240D Slushbox BioBor

 

434 miles, 25.5 MPG ~ I recently got one tank at 30MPG going up North to the S.F. Bay Area .

Once back I shortened the rod on the I.P. that controls the vacuum to the tranny modulator, I was rewarded with shorter shifting,a thing I have long missed on this car .

I hope the current tank shows better fuel economy, I now have 140 miles on just 1/4 tank, I usually never get over 100 miles before the needle drops below 1/4 .

This was my very first Mercedes and will likely be the last one I sell off as I age out .

I'll miss you all .

_Finally_ a car made just for me ! .

As Tam can attest, it'll never run low with me driving .

Interestingly, the stopping place it Newcomb's Ranch,  a little restaurant in the San Gabriel Mountains near me .
