The oil cooler lines were replaced a handful of years ago. That was a PITA too.

Yes, it's just a thin paper gasket, I didn't use any sealant or shellac .
I used hand Allen wrenches to get the bolts out, it _is_ a P.I.T.A. so just make sure you have plenty of time and the fan running.....
I replaced the oil cooler hoses at the same time .
