Hi,
As many of you may know, some time ago I acquired two W126's – one with a clean body and failed engine, the other with a good engine and a swiss cheese chassis – and around about 2010, swapped the good engine into the good chassis and gave the failed engine to my brother as he once thought he might rebuild it.
5 years hence, the old W126 engine that was believed to be seized sits under a tarp in my brother's barn in Portsmouth, RI – and he's cleaning house.
The engine/transmission is complete as far as I know – but as above, we believe the engine to be seized (ran out of oil is what I'm told), and possibly a relatively new automatic transmission attached.
The whole lot is now for sale to anyone who wants to come get it. If you are interested in negotiating a price, I will put you in contact with my brother.
If you want to know more about the condition of the engine /transmission, I can attempt to put you in touch with its original owner, but can make no promises about that, or the accuracy of their recollections.
Serious/interested parties only – not being offered on eBay or elsewhere unless there are no direct email responses within 10 days.
I have no idea what the engine/transmission in this condition is worth – so you'll have to sort that out with my brother…
Thanks,
-Barton
