This group provides a forum for owners and operators of diesel powered motorhomes and 5th wheel tractors to discuss mechanical issues, regulatory issues (US, Canada), ownership, insurance, campground accommodations, trip reports/suggestions, and other topics relevant to large RVs and the people who drive them.
The injectors have been claimed.

I've got 6 dirty, old, used Bosch KCA 30S44 injectors I'm going to throw
out unless someone wants them for postage (5.95). Looks like they will
clean up OK in an ultrasonic.

I've got a couple of mechanics who want it who live near here so I'm
covered. At least one of them will fix it and keep it, but I don['t
know about the other one.
I wish I had a backyard. I'd probably keep it....
It does run and drive but leaks water from somewhere. I am assuming
that it has one of those bad heads, which is now cracked, but I had the
engine rebuilt and thought I got the correct newer head. Could be a bad
head gasket too but there is no water in the crankcase. Well, whoever
gets it can sort it out.

Thanx Bill ;
It's been a very long , hard and strange road for me .
I have tried to learn from others .
I have a large Family , six blood Siblings plus two step Siblings , one each Brother and Sister .
I don't know if all Families have the same sort of troubles we do , we're all fairly estranged , a sad thing .
I do know that you only have one life to live and it's not fair nor promised to see to - morrow .
I'm old 60 years old yet I feel much older having done so many foolish and poorly conceived things , the Family I have is precious to me , even those member to whom I don't speak .
Life is a precious gift , I am only here now for the grace of God or chance if you prefer .

Can one use alcohol to prime the secondary fuel filter on a 1980 300TD? I'm running veg oil. It really doesn't like to be charged when cold. (Never done this before)I usually do it hot. I didn't fully fill the secondary filter with fluid. Got a big bubble. Ran the battery down. Need to take the filter off fill and try again. Lawrence Rhodes
