Diesel RVs

Hey guys, what do you think about idling a gas car for hours to sleep in the car at night? When my boy takes long trips. he will pull over ,leave the motor running to run the heater, for hours. Yes we talked about carbon monoxide, he told me he leaves a window down. I was thinking about oil pressure and stuff along those lines. ????????????????

Just changed my fuel filters, filled the big one up with Moly Purge, hit the pump for a few strokes and it started on the first pop, wow happy days. Getting the car ready for a run to Reno and Cali. max

Are you sure the smoke is coming from the IP? From the symptoms, it could be from leaky shaft seals in the turbo....

After a tiresome day at work I went home to address the weepy IP and fuel filter head on my Coupe , I stopped by pep Boys and grabbed a couple LED tail light bulbs as one brake light went out , spent several hours fooling with the # 1 injector line and cleaning the crud out of the element in the IP ~ I don't have a decent size magnet to remove the lower ring part and in rattling it around and up and down with a dental pick , I discovered lots and lots of dirt in there I had to clean out .

The steel pipe was damaged at the IP end so I grabbed a spare one , cleaned it all up , re assembled and fitted new Mercedes O-Rings to the weepy bolt in the secondary filter , de greased the entire engine and undercarriage , cleaned _me_ up a little bit and made it to the filling station where I filled it up , the damn thing STILL WEEPS FUEL GAH ! .

It smokes on take off from a dead stop although the smoke tapers off a lot once it's spooled up and zipping along , I HATE EXHAUST SMOKE and want to now replace the entire IP in spite of it running well , very well indeed .

I'm beat , going to bed in a moment .

I just had to rant a bit , I know folks here will stifle their laughter and pat my shoulder like they care .
