Did you at least throw some SeaFoam in the tank?? Anytime I've got something sitting (when I know ahead of time) I dump a can (or more) in-- and try to "run it in..." It keeps the gas, and I think it does help in getting them (gas and diesel) re-started.. :)

[diesel_mercedes] ---gasser MT interchange?? OM616 OM617

 

Hey-- do any of the gasser manual transmissions fit up to the 4 and 5 cyl diesels?

If so-- what prevents it?? Is it something that could be overcome "reasonably easy" (flywheel/starter kind of stuff).

--I have this recurrent "fantasy" of a w126 coupe, with a 4 or 5 speed, and a 5cyl turbodiesel..

...yeah, my fantasies get lamer, and more "mechanical" in my mid 40's.. LOL
