Folks, 

Despite the dire predictions, i'm not addicted to ether. Following the injector rebuild i got a warmish day today and removed and tested 4 of the 5 glow plugs, two were bad which i replaced.

I'll save #5 for a sunny day.

NONE were bad back when my starting problem first developed before the injector work, however.

So with at least 4 known good glow plugs the car now starts effortlessly with no flaming rags or ether in the intake at about 42 F. I'm sure it will do fine colder, too.

I'll do the valve adjust on a nicer day, too.
