I just replaced both head light doors on my 1982 240D, the only one still available from Mercedes is the passenger side .
The box and all the part # labels clearly say "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA" but they're still using the original tooling so the "MADE IN GERMANY" letters are still molded into the plastic .
The driver's side door appears to be made either on old tooling or reverse engineered as it has the exact same DOT certification #'s but not the country of origin and it uses non matching colored epoxy to glue the two pieces .
As you can see in both pictures, these really brighten up the front end .
