[diesel_mercedes] Mary Blew Her Top

Picked Mary up in La Verne at 5pm Wednesday from the mechanic. Got almost to Bakersfield when the head gasket blew around 9pm. Stood on the side of #I-5 for a couple of hours with CHP until tow truck found me. Towed her back to La Verne and got a bed at Motel 6 in San Dimas at 2am Thursday. Got on an airplane at ONT around 7pm, landed at SeaTac at midnight, got in bed around 1am Friday morning. Spent Saturday recuperating from another great adventure. Stuff happens - it is all about your attitude and embracing the moment. Learn to live with the opportunities life sends your way and rejoice in Jesus.

Well, it is now Monday and am awaiting the results of the autopsy this week. Did I fry the engine, or can it be salvaged? What did Mike miss when he tackled the engine overheating issue? Only time will tell.

Brian from Graham, WA
with only Martha in operation
