[diesel_mercedes] W123 Fuel Gauge

Reading all the links kindly provided by Bill I see the gauge head should be 0 ~ 90 Ohms .

I should get out my meter and test it but I have other things to do and the low fuel lamp works fine .

I prolly oughta make up a gauge head tester by finding a rheostat that goes from 0 ~ 90 Ohms.....

I've tested fuel level floats by connecting an ohm meter across the contacts.  You can at least verify that the signal changes with movement of the float.  Just be glad that the float access is where it is.

[diesel_mercedes] Fwd: off topic - Any comments on a used 2015 Mercedes GLK350?

 


I'm looking at a used 2015 GLK350, 3.5L V6 gas, 7 speed automatic, AWD.

Is this a good vehicle? I'm in NH with the winters. It also seems to
have great visibility compared to the other SUV's with small windows.

Not a diesel, but maybe someone has heard good/bad about this model?
From what I can see, they had some problems early 2000's. Less
complaints are out there after 2014. I believe this may be renamed GLC
in late 2015 or 2016.
