Well Max ;
it's a Desert so we oughta figure out how to handle the water shortage by now .
I *did* get the engine up on the stand last night , began taking it apart and got the good crank shaft out and stored inside my back porch....
Your offer is great but I like to work with my own tools , dogs handy Supervising things (and halting work for frequent belly rubs) .
Now the NWS says rain again Thursday dammit ~ that's my DAY OFF and I'd planned marathon Thu. & Fri. tear down and parts list making , maybe filling the M-B's truck full of greasy parts & schlepping them to the solvent washer tank @ work.......
I reall;y do have to crank up the old 'Benz soon , I don't konw if I've run it since Tom and I went to Washington for Memorial and Thanksgiving , if it sits too long the battery dies .

You are complaining , about rain?, In California? I know, by reading its been raining lately, big storms, storms of the decade even. But Cali is still in a long term drought, needs tons more of rain. Have you seen Lake Shasta lately? I have. Looks very low, in fact lower than I've ever seen it, maybe its lower than its ever been since they built it. Why dont you just come up here and use my shop? Also this is dry country but still green . While you are here you could rebuild all my old China Diesels just for fun .Max
