[diesel_mercedes] interior door handles

 

My interior door handles have been sagging so I pulled the covers off
and found the "casting" that holds the "roll pin hinge" has cracked. It
is only a matter of time before the rest of the casting cracks do to stress.

Has anyone replaced these? Can it be done without stripping the entire
door? What are the options on parts sourcing?

[diesel_mercedes] More Sheepskin Stuff

 

I thought I should clarify my sheepskin stuff. I don't use sheepskins in my car (drivers side). The IKEA sheepskins are for my wifes tender bottom which believes the MB Tex is either too cold in the winter, or too hot in the summer. So, I put shhepskins wherever she may sit. She doesn't drive my car, so I don't have a sheepskin on my seat - or you could just say that I do not have a tender bottom. But to keep peace it was a small investment, and they will outlast me and my wife.
