[diesel_mercedes] Re : Left Rear tire scuffing.

Interestingly , I just discovered this on my '84 30CD , the inner 1/4 of the tread was worn almost completely smooth ~ I discarded both rear tires as the other one had a flat and both were weather checked by Californa SMOG (makes me wonder what my lungs look like) and the tread had worn to about 1/4 tread left .

I'm thinking trailing arm bushings after 29 years and 360,000 miles , the miles I've put on it are very hard & fast miles indeed so mayhap it's time to replace them all back there , not looking forward to that job .

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Monrovia PAP Visit

Oh damn ~

I missed that .

What kinda Nash ? I'm always on the lookout for Metropolitans , even totally mangled ones like I found in the Lomta Ecology P-A-P in December , in the rain.....

In addition to the normal 4 or 5 rows in the far southwest corner, they had 25 cars across that section to the north. Lots of w126 gassers as usual. Two or three 4 & 5 cylinder diesel engines that had not been picked over yet. Lots of grills, and plastic lamps. Quite a variety of colors and models (including BMW's, Jags, Volvo's, etc). Even an old battered Nash.
