All I know about window tinting is : if you remove the glass and have them tint it bare then re install it ,the edges won't_ever_ begin to peel and curl up like it always does otherwise....
Instaling Auto Window Glass is easier than you think but again , not for every DIY'er , I almost always buy a new grommet because I hate leaks .
Agreed , home tinting isn't easy , some folks go right to it and never have bubbles etc. .
I didn't know the reflective typ is illegal ~ I like it but haven't seen it in La La Land for several years now .
3M used to make a killer good UV Blocking tint that wasn't dark , I'd tint all my vehicles with it in a trice *if* I could but find anyplace that sells it .
