Hi Mikey,
I had this happen on my Kubota engine diesel Generator. I changed the air
filter and all was well.
I would also change the fuel filter/filters not for that reason but because
of the new fuel cleaning the entire fuel system and clogging fuel filters.
This summer I had a fuel filter clog up in only half the normal change time.
Carry a couple spare filters to be safe.
