For safety reasons , I only suggest you get a coil spring compressor ,
they're cheap at Harbor Freight .

Using a hydraulic trolley jack works on some cars , others not so much and I knew a VW Mechanic who was bisected by a Super Beetle Spring he decided to dis respect ~ it went in his stomach and splattered his spine (and other wet bits) all over the shop wall behind him .
