Re: [diesel_mercedes] Where to buy Crank case ventilation hose & fitting for the valve cover...

Strange ones or pack rats????  My husband won when the horn on my '94 Olds disintegrated in his hand and I had to have it to pass inspection.  He just so happened to have one down in the barn...just in case, you never know! OK. OK. He won that round!  Hahaha

Yes I do believe in getting more than necessary and keeping spare parts around.

If you get fuel return hose as Mark said from Autohaus, get twice as much as you need and start keeping replaceable inventory at home for repairs and replacements. Hoses fall apart and break down over time. Some of us (strange ones) keep spare parts and duplicates around just because "you never know" - this very day I am putting the starter & solenoid from my old 1982 rust bucket into Mary - a savings of $130 or so.

I just added an album to the Photos section. It's called "Trish's '81 300D".

In there I put a pic of me with my car, but more importantly I have pictures of 2 items I have questions about regarding a rigged up item that I need to replace.

It's the Crank case ventilation hose & fitting for the valve cover & air filter housing.

The other picture is of a leaking valve or so I was told.

Input please from those in the know!
