You are correct Gert. It is amazing how some people spew out absolute bilge as if it were fact. The FAA would never allow a production plane to fly if its brakes were so worrisome. Brake replacement on aircraft is an infrequent occurance...a standard check item like you would check a car. I have had two Diesel pushers with hydraulic brakes, (one with an air ride to boot) and there has been no issues, or even pad replacements, with better than 70Kmi on each.

I have Hydraulic Disk Brakes on my 93 Safari and have absolutely no
problem with them.
After 25 K miles the pads look like new.
And airplanes changing their brakes after every 3rd landing is real
nonsense.
