I have an 85 SD that appears to have been in Delaware since new. It didn't have a block heater, but someone has installed a heating element in the lower Radiator hose. It works, but its lower Delaware, so we haven't needed it.

? Did anyone ever firgure out the M-B part number for the freeze plug original bock heater cord ? .
I've only seen _one_ here that was undamaged and the engine it was one appeared to have been dipped in used fry oil, I was clean and tidy at the moment so I didn't grab it
If I can find the correct U.S. cord part # I guess I'll order three while I still can .
