[diesel_mercedes] Re: Home Again

I drove Martha up March 12 with only a 2:00am blow out at Red Bluff to slow me down. I will fly back to Ontario May 03 to pick up Mary and drive her up as well. She is being prepped for the drive by "Mike" (the mechanic whose shop you stopped at once upon a time to look at a trannie). I liked supporting Victor and Mike while down south, now I will have to dig out some new MB friendly mechanics. Mike used to personally own 124's, 126's and 123's so I am comfortable with his work, if not his prices. Mary was a Palm Springs car and Martha was a Ventura car which meant both were pretty much rust free when I got them. But, I can see from the Washington rain pattern that any 30-40 year old MB in this area would need to be looked at really close for rust before purchase. I am maybe 2 hours away from Mercedes Source so may take a day trip up there when we get settled in just to nose around. Maybe he will make a video with me changing my oil or something.
