Whew ~
Thanx Bill but I waded through too many google pages then watched myriad U-tube videos and still no joy .
Sigh .
It was hot to - day so I took the day off and dragged SWMBO 'round wherever she wanted to go , that was nice .
This is prolly one more thing I need to address for a few dayze and teach my self the ins and outs of OM617 linkages .
I had a broken part I replaced , prolly not with the exact same 1984 part , it's always had slow throttle response from the foot feed from the day I bought this poor old thing .

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Throttle Linkage ? OM617 Turbo
O.K. ;
I still have some issue I don't fully understand with my throttle linkages .
I had the FSM's measurement page and used that to no good effect .
I was looking at the three Diesel Mercedes' in the Oceanside P-A-P and noticed they all had easier to push throttle than my '84 Coupe does after careful cleaning and lubrication of all the pivot balls and the bell cranks too .
What I'm looking for now is : a link to some DIY pages that cover actual hands on linkage rod adjusting , hopefully with pictures.....
TIA ,
-Nate
