The MoPar stuff is graphite in an evaporating liquid carrier , it's designed to penetrate frozen exhaust heat risers and get them loosened up then dry and keep them lubricated in extreme working conditions .
I've tried Lock-ease Catalog # LE-5. This is a graphite in a thin
evaporating fluid. I have used so much that graphite is running down
the outside of the door.
Liquid Wrench deicer LLD03 seems to work a lot better.
I've had to use this daily, or even twice a day(morning going to work,
and evening returning home).
I'm starting to think it may be the door's interior moisture seal may be
shot. It may be the warm moist heated air is getting into the door
panel and condensing on the cold door lock. I'll keep some notes to see
when it freezes up. If it freezes only after driving with the heat on,
while it's cold, then it may be condensation. If it freezes only parked
in the driveway without running, water is leaking into the lock some how.
I keep the cans of lock deicer in the trunk. I learned the lesson not
to store them in the car.
I'll look for the Mopar spray. The part number you supplied looks like
rust penetrant from internet searches. Hopefully this will be a short
winter.
