The tube goes over to a small square relay on the firewall thence to the Alda on top of your IP ~ the relay is an over boost protection device , I think it important , others do not and by pass it completely .
Old Mercedes Diesels are getting thin on the ground here too , a sad thing .

BTW I live on the East Coast and all you West Coast guys torture me with what's available out there. Around here most of the old time junkyards have found that they can make more money selling dirt than selling metal and the higher end dis-assemblers don't bother with 123s
