Back to looking for the junction box on top of the fender. It shouldn't be hard to find. It's inside the hood on top of the inner fender with wires leading to it. I've found that cleaning these connections can make a big difference. You might also clean the connections on the ground cable that runs between the block or trans and the body.

I got the alternator tested at O'Reillys and it passed. 13.5 with a top of 14.1. I couldn't find any terminal on the passenger side. Couldn't even trace the wires. Too much stuff in the way. Is it possible all the dirt and grime and oil and what not has fouled the contacts? It's pretty dirty. I did get battery voltage from all three wires that go to the alternator. Is there a procedure to trouble shoot alternator problems in the wiring harness? Is there a fuse I might have missed? Lawrence Rhodes
