In truth ;

All older German Mechanics can tell you about biodegradable German plastics ~ VW was infamous for this all through the 1960's & 1970's .

I've had several of these simply snap off in my hand , most recently Tom and I had to make a !hurry up quick before they close ! Sunday afternoon  Pick-A-Part run to look for one , most of the 1990's vintage Mercedes' there used a different plug .

I got lucky and found _one_ (whew !) .

Back when I was fooling with long neglected cooling system in our various old M-B's , I kept at least one of these plugs and it's special gasket , in the ash tray at all times .

So I used Opera to access Yahoo for this post, and apparently it may be an issue with Firefox talking to Yahoo  that needs to be resolved.
