Hi Lawrence. Have you touched your glow plugs to see if they are
physically hot after they have warmed up? Also have you checked your
timing chain/marks to see if you have jumped a tooth?

I loosened all the injector lines.  Got them all to weep.  Tightened and put a new air filter on.  Not a sign of life.  I'm stumped.  Lawrence Rhodes

It sounds like the start should be replacing the fan brushes....

I'd also go buy 15' of correct sized vacuum hose and a good pair of dykes and begin replacing hard or blubbery vacuum hose bits one by one...

Trying to replace more than one at a time , almost guarantees mis routed hoses and further troubles .

[diesel_mercedes] W123 injector pump failure symptoms.

 

I have no fuel in my lines from the pump to the cylinder.  Very hard starting but after a minute or two of cranking it starts & idles fine.  If anyone knows the symptoms of a 5 cylinder injector pump failing I'd like to hear them.  This problem has my car sidelined.  Lawrence Rhodes.
