Drivers side rear tire is scuffed on the inner edge, down to the wear marks. any clues?
Rear half shafts were done about 3,000 miles ago.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: SoCal PAPs - need info

Alan, I would like both the brain from bside the steering column, and the actuator by the power steering pump for the cruise control, off the same car.
Let me know if you have and how much you would like.
Tony

Just got Sylvia back from my trusty Euro-garage. Last week, my son came to pick me up at Boston Logan and as he pulled in, the seat controls were activating on their own(!), the dash lights were coming on and off, windshield washers wouldn't work, and sadly - when he turned off the engine, it wouldn't start again (dead battery). Thankfully we got it started and limped it home, then to the garage. My guess at the time was a bad alternator, which was confirmed. I had it rebuilt when I swapped the engine in 3.5 yrs / 35K mi ago, and last year it needed a voltage regulator. This time we bit the bullet and put in a new Bosch unit. Add in an oil change, air filter and basic tuneup service and she's back on the road. Odo still busted, now tracking mileage by number of gallons of fuel consumed - coming up on 300K any day now. To further confirm why I love this car, two taxi drivers at BOS offered to buy the car on the spot, knowing full well what it was and the (decent) condition it was in.

Howdy guys, I live in Mid-Atlantic, planning a trip out in the fall to San Diego. Are there any PAPs I can visit near SD that have old W123s for scavenging? We have some friends in LA so a trip up in that direction is a possibility.

Jim

What do you need? .   I have a supply of parts from 123s that I have picked apart on the east coast.  Cornwall on Hudson, NY to be specific.  I'm in the process of moving so there is a 2-3 week window when parts will beavaiable.
