Duh. I broke down & went to Sal's Autohaus in San Francisco and 300 bucks later I had a good starting diesel again. Turns out it was the glow plugs. I was testing the one good one over and over again. (it was marginal) Test all the plugs. Not just the one that is easy to get to. Lawrence Rhodes.....
