I cut the big grey bundle because I thought it contained speaker wires.  DUH!  Now I know it's a head unit connected to an amp.  I have to fish that out anyway.  I have the option of using the speaker wires there and keeping the fader or canning the fader and running directly to the new cd player with it's own fader.  I wish I knew where all these wires are you are talking about.  I have a 1980TD.  The Becker is a Mexico with no presets so no live 12v behind radio I can find.  Will have to do surgery.  Ugh.  Lawrence Rhodes.....
