This may be the site your search turned up, but try a call/email to General Development Laboratories (Peter). He rebuilds them (rebuilt mine), and so is intimately familiar--he'll be able to tell you for sure.
See contact info on his website:

RE: [diesel_mercedes] The dreaded cruise control.

Sometimes you can Google the leading part of the serial number (or a model number, if you have one) and find out about the part in question.  Bill in Oregon

I took the cruise module and the actuator out of the bear waggon - which waggon has gone now to the crusher, the module is about 3/8"longer than the original, and looks to have a later serial number. Any reason to think the larger one is not compatible?
Would really like to get it working for the trip to Mazatlan, it makes a big diff to both of our sciatic nerves.

Would really like to get it working for the trip to Mazatlan, it makes a big diff to both of our sciatic nerves.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: brake warning iight dim glow

yeah, seems a slight ground, maybe crud or water? cracked wire insulation?
my lights came on dull and intermittent, just as the pad was getting thin
enough to allow slight current flow.

If the rotor is the ground that means I'll try to disconnect one sensor at a
time and see if the light goes out. Hope it's self explanatory when I take a
look. I'm assuming there is a socket the sensor wires plug into. It's been a
while. The last time I did brakes I just reused the old sensor and had no
problems. When and if the light goes out I'll clean the socket with contact
cleaner and go from there. Lawrence Rhodes...

If the sensors are left off, then maybe that can cause the problem. Or if a wire has come loose and touching something that is somewhat conductive, maybe that would do it.
