And I'm old & broken , too much so to make it to work to - day .
Eventually I was able to get out of bed and drive my Sweet to her appointment , we took out old , slow , stinky & noisy 1982 240D , of course it lit right off and ran *perfctly* in spite of well over 300,000 miles and the R-12 charged AC is still working nicely .
She commented one of her neightbors came by the other day and asked it if needed engine repairs as it " Nails " a fair bit when first cold started in the cool AM & the helpful neighbor thought the engine was broken . she said she just laughed and said " no , that's just the sound a Diesel Car makes , I like it , best car I've ever had " .
I like her quite a bit too .
She says she's putting by some $$ to have the tranny rebuilt this summer , it stopped shifting into 4th gear some time back (? years?) and I took it to Manny as I don't like slushbox works , he did some adjustments and chargd me $150 , it's been fine ever since but she'd like it to be perfect again .
