[diesel_mercedes] Re: started the 4-spd

I have a water separator, have to have one, and amazingly I only get small amounts of water, like a couple tablespoons a year.. Also I have 3 filters, two are clear, this has been set up like this since 1980 and I have never seen in my life black crud like I keep hearing about from Nate. The only reason I can think for this is it gets so very damn cold here. One more thing it's off road. I wonder if that could make a difference. Anyone else live in frozen tundra in winter and have "the crud" in their fuel? Max
