I rode in the neighbor's 504 a couple times as a teen, but never paid attention to how comfortable the seats were.  I was about to look at a 240D a few years back that actually had its seats swapped out for Peugeot seats.  The material wasn't indestructible like MB-Tex, I do remember that well.
