Oh, good.  I'll work up a long irrelevant post on the peculiarities of the  Eaton axle w/ Detroit Locker, as used in 3/4 ton IH pickups.  After all, 'bout everybody knows all about the various Dana axles.. Actual MB content: Today I paid the non-op fee; shut off the plates and insurance on my late wife's 240D, it rests alongside the 300SD in the field across the driveway, still on studded snow tires.  I haven't driven it in months.   I may bring the SD back to life this fall, I'm re-instating my real estate license, and the SD is/was just about a perfect real estate car... bk To: diesel_mercedes@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, June 26, 2012 5:08 PM Subject: [diesel_mercedes] Too Many Posts ?   Good point Trish ; What I do is ; select NO E-MAILS and read the messages from the home page , this way there's never any extra crap you don't want to read . BTW : I'm well aware I whine & carp a fair bit as well as meander topic drifts all over the place , sorry but to me , that's what makes a good group ~ I learn so much more than just Diesels here , priceless information IMO . -Nate
