This group provides a forum for owners and operators of diesel powered motorhomes and 5th wheel tractors to discuss mechanical issues, regulatory issues (US, Canada), ownership, insurance, campground accommodations, trip reports/suggestions, and other topics relevant to large RVs and the people who drive them.

Perhaps the writer was expressing the hope that technology will develop that allow him to continue driving his Mercedes diesel?
Or do you believe that the availability of fuel, in the future, has nothing to do with Mercedes diesels?
You may have noticed two things in the past decade or so:
1) We like to suggest, and push for, economic and trade sanctions against countries that we disagree with, or that we fear, or that have resources that compete with our own multinational corporate policy makers;
2) We are the ONLY industrialized society that likes to pretend that philosophical phantasies trump actual science.
What happens if or when the rest of the world decides to sanction us (using our own model) for refusing to do anything meaningful about our continuing insistence that we have the right to pollute and cause global warming without any restraint?
What happens if a concerned rest of the world cuts off our supplies of oil with which to run our beloved diesels?
The development of alternative fuel sources and cleaner energy sources has a lot to do with the driving that we all love to do. Have you read any of the posts detailing my, or Nates, or Rob's or other Mercedes drivers' road trips? I want those to continue to be possible. Do you?

What does this last broadcast have to do with Mercedes diesel?
