[diesel_mercedes] almost pulled the trigger

 

saw an ad on craigslist for an 82 300sd wanted $4500, WHAT!!!
Turns out it had a new engine put in 80000 miles ago. Dealer forgot to put cap on. Dealer put in new engine. But I thought about it and decided I have never had a problem with the engines, just all the other parts, and all the other parts on the car make it only worth maybe 1500-2000. So I passed on it.

But putting 128 miles a day on my car, I know I will eventually have to replace it.
