WHY, WHY, WHY can't parts be parts?????  Geez. 

I found the transmission filter kit at O'Reilly, it can be in the store within 24hrs it says.

Of course I kept searching to find the best deal.  I looked at AutohausAZ, the gasket looks different.

 I checked specs, they both say they can be used on my '80 300SD. 

The kit from Diesel Giant was waaaay more expensive, so they're out of the running.
