Hi,
I have a 1984 300SD and for a hile now, I have oil spots in my garage after I park it there for a while.
Looking into it is appears the leak comes from the return of the turbo oil, at the point where it enters the bottom oil pan. There is a small rubber seal ring there and I suspects it's worn out, dry, and not sealing properly.
Question: How do you change this seal? I suppose you must pull the pipe out from the top, but it would be nice to have confirmation of this.
Thanks for any help on my minor problem. The car only has 120,000 miles and run like a new car.....actually better than a new car as it is more reliable and easier to fix than these modern computerized vehicles should any problem crop up!
